My Personal Journey

I provide evidence-based therapy and psychological counseling services in English for adults and adolescents (ages 10-18 years) in the Lausanne area of Switzerland.

Originally from the Boston area, I moved from New York City to Switzerland over 20 years ago and have lived here ever since. As the mother of a teenage daughter and a young adult son, I know how busy and sometimes stressful life can be. In addition, as a two-time cancer survivor (due to a pesky gene mutation), I have traveled the bumpy road of life-altering experiences and know firsthand the strain such events can put on ourselves and our loved ones. There are moments in life when we need additional support. I provide a safe and confidential space in central Lausanne where one can explore further their experiences, thoughts, feelings, and behaviours as well as where one can learn proven approaches designed to help us better cope with the inevitable stressors and challenges of life.

When I am not working, one can most likely find me walking or skiing in the French or Swiss Alps, traveling the world, cooking/eating a healthy meal, or running some of my favorite routes along Lake Geneva. Amongst other things, I love beautiful architecture, good food, great movies, discovering new places and ideas, and most of all spending quality time with friends and family.

As a former competitive swimmer, a current recreational runner, and a cancer survivor, I truly believe in the power of the mind and the body to work together to go beyond our perceived limits. I also believe in the power of the basics (e.g. good sleep, hydration, regular exercise, high quality food, healthy routines, and positive mindsets) to promote both mental and physical wellbeing. Whilst difficult times can be extremely challenging, often they can present us with a chance for growth and positive change in our lives. As a personal philosophy, I try to embrace my own imperfections as well as the messiness of life, because fundamentally I believe that in most challenges there is also an opportunity.
